The United Nations Sustainable Goal #11 is titled Sustainable Cities and Communities. The UN states only 3% of land in the world is occupied by our cities but they account for 60-80% consumption of energy and 75% of carbon emissions. Organizations such as United Cities have been created and partnered with KPMG to lead change. United Cities has partnered with SDG Impact Fund to create United Cities Funds as a global catalytic capital facility dedicated to enabling all 10,000 cities to transition to NetZero prosperity across the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030″.
